There's a lady who comes in to my job all the time with her Snicker's candybar colored Snocker. He's combination Schnauzer and Cocker Spaniel and heis always with her. She's got the paperwork to prove it's legal to have him withher at all times.Just ask her. Don't worry, she's always respectful and sits athe back corner table where customers won't be offended.
The pair looks like an old married couple. She always wears a hat. Inthe summer and spring she wears a Vietnamese ba...

Last weekend I celebrated my *cough cough* birthday. It was filled with football, football, more football, and cake.
It was on my way home from the WSU Cougars game that I realized the weekend was full of similarities and differences.
Early Saturday morning we went to my 8 year olds last football game of the season. It was a beautiful, brisk sunny football day. My son's team record was 2 wins 6 losses. I'm not sure what WSU's actual record is but it is close to the same as my little ...
Testing this word to blog thing.
Roy Levosh's article reminded me of an old blog I wrote a couple of years ago. Please forgive me if you already read it. I had fun writing it and I hope you will have fun reading it. Thanks Roy, for reminding me of all kinds of stuff.
http://roylevosh.joeuser.com/ Let me tell you about my journey to life. Many years ago when I was just a twinkle in my daddy’s eye and a vision of a white picket fence in my mom’s minds eye, I was an entity. I was a little being awai...
People talk. People chat. People bitch. People surprise. Peopleconfess. People whine. I hear.
I hear about 20 conversations a day at my work. That's because where I workis an open area with tables all around. People forget I'm there, or don't careand talk away. Some conversations tickle me. Some shock me. Some entertainme. Some piss me off. Some make me tune out.
Today, was the first time I heard a conversation pertaining to someone I knowand their job. I'm not quite sure what ...
An old friend of mine sent an e-mail to me about personal journaling. Sheknows I like to write and thought it would be of interest. I have to admit Ihave never kept a journal. I don't know why. Maybe I do know why. Anyway, thefirst topic was HOPE. So, in honor of my oldfriend, I thought I would give it a try. I'm pretty sure it won't be what shehad in mind, nevertheless, I hope she likes it.

I'm dipping my toe into the writing pool. Hopefully, it won't beas painful to read as it is to write. I apologize in advance.
Wow, it has been so long since I have written anything other than a grocerylist, note to my sons, or homework. I miss it dearly. All work and no playreally sucks. Really. Well, I have been having a bit of fun here andthere, but I think I require more fun than is necessary to survive. Who wants tojust survive?
Whine over. Maybe.
Write what you know. Al...
There is an older lady who is a regular Friday customer. She comes in andgets coffee and a slice of bread. We chat and she tells me what is goingon in her life and I tell her my weekly story. Every now and again she hasan old school saying. This past Friday, she looked out one of the windows andsaid, "There is enough blue in the sky to make a pair of pants. It's gonnabe a good day." I cock my head and look at her. What a great saying. Idon't understand it, but I love it. To top it off I have n...
This past week my town, Spokane, hosted the 2007 National Figure SkatingChampionships. It has been in the planning for 3 years. Even though we arethe smallest town to ever host this particular event not only were previousticket sales broken, they were shattered. It went well and I had thepleasure to attend most of the events and the final show of champions
My mother-in-law and I received tickets for Christmas. Now, I don't reallyknow any of the skaters, but I am a big fan of live ...
I do love my comfort zone.
Yesterday we were blessed with 6 to 8 inches of fresh powder on the mountain.Off we went. This is good and bad. I usually like my ski runs the way I like mymen. Groomed.
We went on some of our regular runs and the powder was moderate, so I gave ita shot and I did pretty good. I had to lean back a little bit more to keep mytips up, which is unnatural to me, but it worked. I was flying and having agreat time. So after lunch, my husband decided to take me to a run...

JUand the Beanstalk the finale
This idea came about on a thread with NickyG. We were talking about theauthor Gregory McGuire. He does the re-telling of fairy tales. I am a big fan ofFairy Tales. It just clicked and Jack and the Beanstalk is one of my favorites.I bore my children with it all the time.
In order of appearance, I think.

The Finalept. 6The giant was filled with rage and he would not stop searchinguntil he found the thief and punished him. Fresh tire tracks from the truck provided him with a trail so he followed it.
