Dirty Martini:

  • a generous shot of top shelf vodka
  • a splash of olive juice

In a shaker with ice, add vodka and olive juice.

Shake and strain into a martini glass.

Garnish with olive on a purple plastic sword. If you dare.

To Die For Walleye Kabobs

  • a pound of fresh Walleye or any white fish
  • Bacon strips
  • BBQ sauce, your favorite will do. YumYum's is secret bbq sauce was taken to the grave.

Cut fish into bite size pieces and wrap in bacon. Skewer 4 or 5 per stick and grill. When the fish is almost done, brush with bbq sauce.

A little warning/advice cook fish on top shelf of grill and line bottom part with tin-foil or else your bacon drippings will catch the place on fire.

Yummy! Damn, I haven't had walleye in 3 years. Back when I lived in Ohio, my neighbor would fix walleye all kinds of ways then he would bring some over. It was good as hell. Well, I don't know if it was good from me since it came from Lake Erie but it taste good.

I have a freezer full of walleye.

It's all about catfish here. Or after Labor day, mourning dove. And in November, Bobwhite Quail. And in deep dark cold December and January, cottontail rabbit.

...But no walleye!
